Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricky Lozano.
Ricky, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always wanted to open up a business, but I didn’t know what or if it was even possible especially since no one believed in me. Again, I didn’t know anything about business but I’m the kind of person that is dedicated to something when I make up the mind that’s just in me, I guess. I had a friend that had a tire shop well two actually and they were very successful. But not in a million years would I decide on a tire shop. It just came out like that. Got some money saved up and started doing research about opening a tire shop. I had some bumps in the road, but it’s all about not giving up. I gave up a lot of times but still kept going. I actually had bad luck since day one, but I don’t let anything stop me, and that was the best thing that happened moving locations I never gave up. Now I feel it was a good choice ever since I open here, business has been good, I thank God.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been smooth. It’s been ups and downs mostly downs from equipment to location I’ve had ot all but that’s what made me who I am now.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am proud of what I have done no one in my family has done what I have done and will never do. It takes courage to open something up any business and time, nothing happens overnight. I have learned the hard way. And what sets me apart from others is a take my time and take pride in what I do I like what I do.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about our city is it’s the best one in Texas, and we have our own culture in a way. It’s a big place. We got different places when you want to party or even if just want to sit in a bar and think. What I least like about is nothing, it’s just perfect.
