We’re looking forward to introducing you to Danny Stygion. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Danny, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake up and make a cup of coffee, then I meditate for 15 minutes and do some prayers and occult rituals. I check emails after that and make a post promoting my two magazines: Sinical and subspace.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Danny Stygion. I’m a full time photographer, filmmaker, and fetish magazine publisher. I have four films (The Goetia Diaries, Bayou City Burlesque, One Last Trip, and Dominatrices) that are streaming on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Tubi, and YouTube. I’m currently focused on producing and directing more narrative and documentary films. I have 2 documentary films that are in post production right now: Ghosts of Texas: Galveston and Synth Headz.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of favorite memories is from my earlier twenties: we were producing a large scale fetish ball in Houston, Texas at a mansion with Dita Von Teese as the headliner, and it was a very difficult show to put on, but I remember stepping outside before the show began and seeing a long line all around the block. That moment definitely made everything we went through to make the event all worthwhile.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I’m not sure, but I know you have to take risks to get to where you want in life, and fear often gets in the way of that. As I get older, I worry less about the outcome of taking risks. Things always seem to work out one way or another.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I don’t live a double life anymore as I did at one point when I had to hide my artistic side from my corporate life and bosses. I am free now and I am who I say I am.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Being stressed over little things and getting upset with people over trivial matters.
