We recently had the chance to connect with DR. ELI NASSAR and have shared our conversation below.
DR. ELI , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I arrive at the office around 9:30 a.m. every day and get me a nice cup of coffee and check my e-mail to see if any customer needs support.
I spend my day mostly designing and programming new features for our software systems called the EASY series to keep them clean, enhanced and current with the state-of-the-art technology.
I also take care of any computer support service calls from our current customers, and I also do demos for our sales force if any needs to be done.
I get engaged with meetings with potential clients showing them demos of our EASY systems.
I could also end up with many meetings with our salespeople to provide them assistance with sales and motivate them.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is ELI Nassar.
I am a PhD in computer software engineering.
1978 I taught computer courses to engineering students at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHWESTERN LOUSIANA, which was one of the top universities in computers in the country.,
1979 I moved to Houston with the aim of enhancing my career as a computer professional and helping local companies cope with the very fast changing computer industry.
I started Worldwide Software Systems (WSS) around 1979 with the aim of designing high quality computer software systems for many industries in Houston.
My endeavors ended with the EASY computer software systems for many industries that ended written up in many magazines,
The first computer software system WSS put on the market is called SUPPLY-EASY and it is one of the finest ERP systems on the market…it handles inventory management, order processing, point of sales, quotations, requisitions, accounts receivables, purchasing, accounts payables, payroll and general ledger. It is a system used by Wholesale Distribution companies and any company in need of a good quality ERP system.
The second system WSS put on the market is PACK-EASY which is the best system on the market for export crating, freight forwarding, warehousing, logistics and shipping companies.
The third system WSS put on the market is DOC-EASY which is a system used by International Freight Forwarders to do Ocean and Air documentation.
The EASY systems run on many different platforms: CLOUD, WINDOWS networks, any WINDOWS system, Unix, Linux, IBM., MAC….and this provides independence for companies.
All the EASY systems provide integration with credit card processing, messaging services, e-mail services and the Microsoft office products.
The EASY systems do not require companies to have IT personnel and WSS provides all the support needed without companies having to spend money on in house IT personnel.
Further, WSS customizes the software to fit the personality of the company using the EASY system and thus the EASY systems are not ONE SYSTEM FITS ALL…..WSS does not tell the customer to open the door with his right hand when the customer wants to use his left hand to open the door.
This is what Miss Rosa Gomez manager of ADVANCED INTERNATION SERVICES of Houston says about the EASY systems:
“ADVANCED INTERNATIONAL SERVICES has been using PACK-EASY as a tracking tool to keep all our customers up to date with real time status information. This software can be used from anywhere in the world. We do have our team working with Pack Easy not only in the United States but also in our office in Lima, PE. We can run our daily operations to support our customers worldwide.
PACK-EASY website allows unlimited number of customers to log in and view information about their shipments per purchase order, per line item and see pictures about the items received in the warehouse.
WSS services are of great importance to have PACK-EASY running every day smoothly and WSS provides excellent support.”

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
It was my father.
He always believed in me, and he always believed that I will be a very successful man.
He basically taught me everything and he influenced my life in all its angels.
He supported me and loved me unconditionally in everything I did.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
This never happened.
My father taught me how to cope with any problems I encounter in life.
He taught me the meaning of persistence and going after it and never ever give up.
Basically, he taught me that if life give you a lemon, then make a lemonade from it.
This made me the strong man I am now,
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Being honest and truthful specially when conducting business.
My father told once: I gave the name ELI clean and keep it that way all the time.
if you are not honest and truthful in your life and specially your business life then you will never succeed.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
a man that made the AMERICAN DREAM a reality.
I enjoyed the strong support of my father, and it made it easier for me all the time.
When I moved from Louisiana to Houston, I was around 29 years old with nothing but a strong education (PhD in software engineering) and believing in myself.
I made it big time and became very successful using hard work and persistence.
People will remember that here is a man that achieved the AMERICAN DREAM with hard work.
