We’re looking forward to introducing you to Mariana Mosqueda. Check out our conversation below.
Mariana , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: When have you felt most loved—and did you believe you deserved it?
I experienced a profound sense of love six years ago when I welcomed my first child into the world. Despite feeling unprepared for motherhood following my mother’s passing nine years prior, I was confident in the love and support I would receive from my husband and children. This experience reaffirmed my belief in the unconditional love that family can provide.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My Name is Mariana Mosqueda, and I have over a decade of experience in the beauty and Bridal industry with my company, MMBeauty Artistry, located in Houston, TX, This is not a job for me, I am dedicated to providing you with an exceptional experience with your hair and makeup, ensuring that each client feels their best. Additionally, I am pleased to share that my husband and I have recently achieved our goal of opening “AC BARBERSHOP”, where we offer men/kids haircuts, fades, beard, mustache, lineups, shaving, women/girls haircuts, waxing & blowouts. And we are excited to celebrate our first anniversary on November 9th at our location, 10978 Grant Rd,Houston, TX 77070
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I believe that my experiences have been shaped by various colleagues who have imparted invaluable knowledge and insights throughout my career. Their guidance has played a crucial role in enhancing my understanding of the workplace and fostering my growth.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Reflecting on my childhood, I found comfort in the support of my family and engaging in creative activities, which helped me navigate through feelings of sadness or fear.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I firmly believe that the preservation of family bonds is a value I hold dear and strive to protect at all costs. Family is EVERYTHING!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
if I retired today, I think my customers would miss our natural approach to makeup. I think many women don’t wear makeup because it takes too long or they are intimidated and don’t know how to apply. I break that all down, make it simple and make women feel amazing, but in a natural way.
