Story & Lesson Highlights with Ramiro Alvarado of Heights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ramiro Alvarado. Check out our conversation below.

Ramiro, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I don’t let a single minute of my day go to waste. From 4:30 in the morning until 9:30 at night, my calendar stays full — whether it’s business, family, personal health, or even leisure time. Every moment is intentional. I fill my day with things that help me grow, because I have to show up as my best self for my clients.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Coach Ramiro, and I’m the founder of Abba Fitness and creator of the Ageless Fit Coach Method™, a system designed to help busy men and women over 30 reclaim their energy, strength, and confidence — without sacrificing their family, career, or lifestyle.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 40 years, and what makes my approach unique is that it’s not just about training the body — it’s about transforming the mind and spirit too. My mission is to help people create a lifestyle of vitality and longevity, built on consistency, mindset, and simple daily habits.

At Abba Fitness, we don’t just run workouts — we build communities. We teach people how to move better, eat smarter, and live stronger for life. Right now, I’m focused on expanding our reach through our online programs and my Ageless Vitality Blueprint, bringing the same proven results we’ve achieved in person to people across the country.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
It was really the people around me who saw it first. Ever since I was about 12 years old, people would tell me I should be a motivational speaker. I didn’t fully understand it back then — I was just being myself, sharing energy and encouragement wherever I went. But over time, I realized they saw something in me that I hadn’t recognized yet — a gift for inspiring others. And honestly, the rest is history. That calling turned into my life’s work: helping people transform their health, mindset, and lives through coaching.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
No — I’ve never been the type to give up. I actually suck at quitting. I have a relentless, can-do attitude that just won’t allow it. If you really want to motivate me, tell me I can’t do something — especially if it’s something I believe in. That’s when my discipline, focus, and drive go into overdrive.

But it’s never with a bad attitude. I lead with positivity, knowing that every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and overcome. That mindset has carried me through every season of my life — both in and out of the gym.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. What you see is exactly who I am. The person you see on camera, in the gym, or online — that’s me every day. I’ve always believed in being authentic because people can feel when you’re real. I live what I teach — fitness, mindset, discipline, and faith — it’s not an act, it’s a lifestyle. Whether I’m training, speaking, or just spending time with my family, I’m the same person. What you see publicly is just a reflection of the work I’ve been doing privately for decades.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m alone — out on a long run, on my bike, or working in my garden. Those moments let me disconnect from the noise and reconnect with myself. It’s where I do my best thinking, find clarity, and recharge mentally and spiritually. That quiet time keeps me grounded and reminds me why I do what I do.
