We recently had the chance to connect with SANDRA VILLEGAS and have shared our conversation below.
Hi SANDRA, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Sandra Villegas, I am 59 years old. I started working in the insurance world 9 years ago as an agent and I have always dreamed of having my own agency. It is a great passion to be able to help and raise awareness in society as to why having insurance is important in their lives. I particularly had an accident 33 years ago and I was not insured which brought me many economic, emotional and physical problems. That is when I realized how important insurance coverage is, even when you are young you still need to protect yourself from any accident. I didn’t have my seat belt on and I severely injured my back and it affected my walking, which has led to my disability. That’s what motivated me to try to make people realize how important it is to have good car insurance, including medical expenses and also a life insurance policy.
My goal is that through my story you realize that your life can change in an instant and if you are not financially prepared, it will affect your whole family.
My physical therapy was very expensive and my insurance coverage was not enough. I was left without a car and with a disability. I had to accept my new life condition, I choose not to give up, to work hard for a better future, and to prove that even when we face problems we still should live life to the fullest.
I feel very proud of me and my teams achievements, in 2023, we were the best New store agency of the year. Which means our hard work and dedication to grow is producing great results which I’m very proud of.
I always remember that none of this would be possible without Gods blessing in my life and for the affection and love of my family, who, without their support, I would not have achieved my goals.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

There were many obstacles , barriers that I always had to overcome to achieve my goals, I never let my Disability to walk to prevent me from working and raising a family.
Over the years I realized how important it is to always keep dreaming and believe that your dreams can be achieved, Life is not easy but I believe with love and dedication, persistence, responsibility, anything is possible. I enjoy being an insurance agent because I am interested in the community for them to realize that it is important to have insurance and be prepared for any adversity.
Today I am who I am thanks to my family who have always supported me in everything and know that I never give up and will be an example for many. I have always said that it is never too late to achieve dreams and give the best version of yourself.
