We recently had the chance to connect with Traci Richard and have shared our conversation below.
Traci, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing a successful business, not just for financial gain, but to create impact, confidence, and freedom. If I stopped, I’d miss out on a chance to turn my passion into something lasting. But more importantly, I’d lose the opportunity to grow into the person I’m meant to become. Chasing success isn’t easy, but it’s worth it because it’s shaping me and the lives I touch along the way. Don’t just chase the business, but chase the person you’re becoming by building it. Chasing success demands sacrifice, focus, and resilience. But when your why is strong it can carry you through the moments when no ones clapping yet.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Traci Richard, and I’m the proud owner of a growing lash business, known as Dreamoflashes. Beauty has always inspired me, not just the way it looks on the outside, but the confidence it gives people on the inside. I have been selling luxury lashes since 2018. What makes my brand unique is my lashes are long lasting, washable, and can be worn multiple times. I’m currently working toward putting my all into creating something generational. My dream is to build a brand that empowers others to feel beautiful, confident, and unstoppable. What makes my business unique is the personal touch behind everything I do. I carefully select quality products, and I care about how my customers feel when they wear them. My goal isn’t just to make a sale; it’s to build trust, community, and confidence through beauty.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
Growing up I’ve always seen a strong work ethic from both of my parents and my Great Grandmother who has inspired me to become an entrepreneur. My mother has always been a definition of a strong hard worker I never saw her give up no matter the circumstances. She has accomplished so much in life which inspires me that if she can do it I can to and make sure I show my kids that hard work will eventually pay off. My father has also inspired me with his strong will power and his Army roots. My late Great Grandmother inspired me to become an entrepreneur. She was the owner of “Tiny Tots Daycare”, she was a musician, and librarian. I was blessed to be surrounded by strong loving individuals that showed me that giving up is never an option and with hard work and dedication you can achieve anything in life.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I almost gave up. I was tired, overwhelmed, and questioning whether all the hard work would ever pay off. It felt like everything I was building was moving too slowly, and I wondered if I was chasing a dream that would never become real. But in that low moment, I reminded myself why I started, my vision, my passion, and the people who believe in me. I decided that my temporary pain wouldn’t be the end of my story. That decision to keep going changed everything.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project I’m committed to no matter how long it takes is opening up my own spa Eloise Esthetique, inspired by my late Great Grandmother. This has been a goal of mines for a while now that I am committed to achieving and building generational wealth for my family. I have more things I’m working on behind the scenes that I can’t wait to share with the world.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, it is possible to give your best even when no one notices, but it takes a certain kind of inner strength. When praise or recognition isn’t guaranteed , your motivation has to come from within: your own sense of purpose, pride, discipline, or values. I want readers to know that pursuing your passion is always worth it , even when the journey feels challenging. For me, its about creating beauty, confidence, and opportunities not just for myself, but for the people I serve. If you have a dream keep pushing, keep learning, and trust that your dedication will pay off. The best part is, your journey can inspire others along the way.
