I served as an agent for Texas Farm Bureau until 2023, when I seized the opportunity to partner with Rollo Insurance and establish Rollo Insurance of Mont Belvieu. This partnership allowed me to build a dedicated team and foster a positive, growth-oriented office environment. Since January 2023, our business has experienced remarkable growth, now proudly comprising five incredible staff members, including my two adult children. Our mission is to serve and educate our clients, ensuring they obtain the precise coverages our client’s need. Read more>>

There has absolutely been some struggles. College prepared me for a lot of the issues that came up, but there were so many more lessons that I could not be taught, and I had learn by experience. The biggest struggle has been hiring a team that is committed and dependable! I also learned that reviews can make and break a business. The cooking has been the easy part, the planning is the most difficult. Every event is different, so planning each event is a new mission. Read more>>

High school was challenging. I struggled with my identity and my mental health. At 15, I came out as queer and found myself feeling out of place—and often misunderstood—in the Catholic school environment. One person made all the difference: my school counselor. She saw me for who I truly was and told me that I would achieve everything I wanted in life, that I would make it through the struggles I was facing. She is one of the reasons I’m here today, able to tell my story. Read more>>

I worked for my aunt for 9 summers on South Padre Island, and then when it was time to spread my wings a bit, moved up to Galveston to start my own branch of the business: Sandy Feet Sandcastle Services: Galveston. Moving to Galveston felt possible because of the support of the Galveston Park Board, who had already been hiring us to give sandcastle lessons in the summer. Now living in Galveston, I continue to be grateful for their support, and the support of the community here, who have made what I do possible. I remain excited and committed to bringing great sand sculpture to Galveston and to share my love of sandcastling with both locals and visitors on Galveston’s beautiful beaches. Read more>>

I launched SDS as a space where artistry meets strategy. We began with vocal coaching and studio recording, but quickly expanded to include photography, podcast recording, and other creative development services. The goal was to create more than just a studio—it’s a collaborative hub where creatives can refine their craft, produce high-quality content, and get the business and legal insight they need to succeed in competitive industries. It’s really important to me to show my kids that you can have a successful career and be a mom at the same time. I also believe in sharing parts of my personal life with my patients because it helps build trust and connection. That vision led me to create Trein Club in 2025, a 19,000 sq. ft. wellness space in Houston that goes beyond a traditional gym. It’s a place where Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, yoga, functional training, strength & conditioning, and recovery come together under one roof. But more importantly, it’s a community built on connection—where people can train, grow, and feel at home. Alongside Trein, I also launched Caffe & Trein, bringing my Brazilian roots full circle by sharing coffee, pão de queijo, and açaí as another way to connect people. Read more>>

In 2010, I graduated from the University of Florida, and the goal was NYC to practice law. But I was asked by my family to relocate to Houston to assist my brother with his business and be closer to family, since I had been on my own and away from my biological family since 1996. I moved to Houston, and during that time, our economy was also in a recession, and it was difficult to find employment. I applied for a correctional officer position and was hired immediately. Their journey to this point was straightforward in concept: they began with only a handful of students, but through their students’ excellent results and enthusiastic word-of-mouth from parents, the studio quickly grew. The same pattern repeated itself when they moved to Texas, at one point reaching over 60 students between them. They have since scaled back to maintain a more balanced number of students, given their rich and varied international performing careers. Still, teaching remains their central passion. Read more>>

My first listing of my career was a $4M ranch. There were a couple listing agents in the running but these particular clients saw how hard I worked & knew the drive I had & decided to give me a chance. The following year I beat every record imaginable especially for somewhat of a rookie but I won Realtor of the Year for my brokerage at the time & ended up being #8 out of over 550+ agents in TX. Today I’m now top 1% in Harris & Montgomery County Realtors! Read more>>

I started tattooing in 2009 right after high school . It started as just a hobby on friends . Becouse I always loved making art and being creative . It wasn’t something I thought about before ,I just sort of gravitated towards it after I got my first tattoo and it sparked my interest. Then, in what I can only describe as an answered prayer, my life took a turn. I moved to Houston, Texas, and met my husband—a man of God, brimming with ambition, intelligence, confidence, and determination. He saw something in me that I could not yet see in myself. Where I doubted, he believed. Where I hesitated, he encouraged. Over time, his unwavering support and faith in me began to chip away at the fear that had held me back for so long. Together, we built a life and a family, raising three wonderful children. And in 2017, I finally found the courage to take a leap of faith and open my own private speech and language practice. Hi! Thanks so much. Happy to share my story. I started my business in 2018 as a professional home organizer, not realizing that what I was truly stepping into was a much deeper calling. At first, my work focused purely on transforming physical spaces: helping clients declutter their homes, streamline their systems, and create order. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of people, and while the organized rooms were rewarding, the real magic was in witnessing my clients themselves transform. Read more>>

So, I made the decision to go into business for myself. My first priority was to create a space where I could show up fully as me, no code switching, no strict dress codes, no hiding parts of who I am. At 35, I was ready to be my authentic self, unapologetically. I also wanted to ensure that my work was client-centered, not a one size fits all approach. That meant investing in myself, getting certified in EMDR, and training in other modalities so I could meet each client exactly where they are. Read more>>

I started The Slumber Party Club when my oldest daughter was turning 8. She wanted to have her very first slumber party. We had hard wood floors and not enough beds. I wanted something cute and fun for the girls to remember. I remember seeing little teepees on Pinterest and quickly thought what a great business this would be. I worked quickly and made a magical setup for her! I was a teacher and needed the extra income so I decided to launch this business idea for our area. The closest other business was about 2 hours away so I knew this could be a hit. We are now starting our 7th year and have been able to create memories for thousands of kids across the Houston area. America’s Next Top Model was one of my favorite shows growing up, so modeling was always something I dreamed about, but I never really saw as something I could pursue realistically. Then in 2022, I was hanging out with my cousin, Rivwe, and he encouraged me to give it a real shot. I had joked about modeling with him before, but this time he told me I should take it seriously and that he truly thought I could do well as a model. So that March, I booked my very first photoshoot, and to my surprise, I hated the pictures. The photographer was amazing, but I just wasn’t comfortable in front of the camera yet. After that, I decided to put modeling on hold and focus on finishing school. Read more>>

Would love to know how to be in contact with you. We have a great story to tell.
Through the end of the year, Solis Mammography – the nation’s largest independent provider of breast screening services – presents its “Help Us Help Houston” campaign through its seven locations across the greater Houston region. From now through the end of the year, patients who schedule and complete their annual screening mammogram at Solis Mammography, will also give the gift of restoration and recovery.
For every mammogram appointment scheduled and completed at any Solis Mammography center in the Houston area between Oct. 23 and Dec. 31, $10 will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund by Solis Mammography and its partners in the effort, HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division and Hologic. To signal their participation in the campaign, all patients need to do is use the code “Harvey” when they check-in for their appointment.
The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund was established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett. The fund is administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Because of the immense need in and around Houston, this fund is dedicated to relieving gaps that are not met by other local and federal efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
